I have never been more excited for fall and an exciting giveaway I’m hosting with Hobo Handbags starting NOW! First of all, can we just talk about this Hobo Stepping Out Bag? I kinda wanted to wrap the strap in and carry it as a clutch {which I plan on doing for night} but I just love a cross body bag. It’s the icing on the cake for fall layering.

Congrats to our winner: @karafulgum

A little bit of this and a little bit of that, all of which I took note of while at NYFW. {and no I did not attend all of these shows, but wish I did!}

The lights dim, the music vibrates, the show starts and I am instantly reminded of why I do what I do.

I don’t know when the love affair began. Perhaps it was the first time I slipped on my first pair of high heels that I stole from my mother. Maybe it was receiving my first Louis Vuitton backpack from my aunts at high school graduation. But at some point, I entered a marriage that would last a lifetime. After attending my 6th? (losing count) NYFW this past week, I can’t help but to feel romantic about this industry. Sure you can argue that clothes are just clothes {however if you’re reading this blog I bet you would beg to differ}.  But there is so much more to the words “fashion” and “style” than attending New York Fashion Week.

For me, it’s touching the fabric and, when it’s cotton, feeling an amazing homesick feeling for my Dad’s cotton farm. It’s the sweet smell of a new handbag and the thrill of knowing you earned every penny that went into the purchase. It’s a form of self-expression for our mood, our culture, our values and our history. It’s my job, my passion and my life….and being able to play in this game we call “fashion” makes me the happiest girl ever.  Thank you for reading this blog and for giving me my dream job.
