Thank you for being the best Mom in the whole world. For always scratching my back and telling me stories when I couldn’t fall asleep. For teaching me good manners & what is right & wrong. Thank you for always being the Mom who drove all the kids to the school dances & let us sing at the top of our lungs like we were Trisha Yearwood. And thank you for continuing to teach me the larger lessons in life.
I love you,
J
Sipping tea is so underrated! I’ve been itching to host a small tea party lately with a few lovely ladies and as I’m doing research on what to provide, I came across these adorable Tea Party Requisites I just had to share:::
Oscar de la Renta Plates {$125 for 4} // Simmer Down Tea {$14} // The Vintage Tea Party Book {$30} // Finum Tea Press {$30} // 12-Piece Tea Cup Set {$15} // Ceramic Tea Cup {$10} // Embroidered Napkins {$36 for 4} // Project Angel Food Cookies
1. Not only am I nerding out over navy blue lately, but palm tree leaves have never looked better. I love this room because of all the vibrant colors being used.
Green Floral Pillow {$40} // Essex Upholstered Ottoman {$300} // Cream Stool {$129}
2. Fig tree’s are having a major moment and I can’t wait to get my hands on one! The juxtaposition of the outdoor tree and the preppy striped rug give me butterflies!
Artificial Fiddle Fig Leaf Tree // Chiara Coffee Table {#109} // Striped Rug {$275}
3. If you’re working with a tight space it’s a great idea to invest in a cool light fixture to draw the eyes up.
Diamond Pendant Chandelier // Sheepskin Rug {$229} // Herringbone Rug {$45+}
4. A cozy chic living room warms my heart and I think the quickest way to achieving this is with floor pillows.
Bronze Letter {$4} // Lab Floor Lamp {$100} // Laguna Floor Pillow {$70+}
5. It’s clean, sharp and an easy style to snag with a simple zig zag pillow. Because trends come and go so quickly I would suggest in getting the look with a pillow rather than investing in a larger ticketed item such as a sofa or rug.

Okay, okay…So our wedding didn’t make the cover of StyleMePretty’s “Best Of 2012 Wedding Magazine“ but we did make in in the magazine which I have to say is the most flattering compliment that my wedding has ever received!
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again: You just gotta give it up for Beth Helmstetter & Lauren Ross. While there were dozens and dozens of great talent behind our big day, these are the two women who made it happen and captured it all!

Do I ever do this? {the answer is no} But when I come across something on Pinterest that makes me smile this much, I just have to share the fun with my readers! I’ve been cheating on fashion with art & interior decorating my studio space and spotted these adorably unique animal prints from The Animal Print Shop by Sharon Montrose. My first order of business on Monday is to order one for my office wall {but which one!? it’s soooo hard to pick!}. And don’t even get me started on how cute these would look in a baby room {don’t get any ideas!}.
Know what I love most about these swoon worthy works? The animals photographed for the series are real live animals, raised (and most rescued) & through the artists work, she helps support several organizations devoted to animal rescue, educational programs, and nurturing wildlife.
Doesn’t get much better than that!
I’ll be the first to admit that absolutely hate spending money on things like curtains and {wait for it} picture frames! But when it came time to revamp my studio, the first order of business was to get my wacky wall in order. Currently, I have an array of mismatched frames, a chalkboard and few other loose screws. If you’re going to do the mismatched look you have to really commit and have enough variety to make a full statement. I wasn’t really feeling like my wall was mismatched enough and because the majority of my frames are white, I decided to commit to an all white framed wall look. Here are a few pieces I’m lusting over to fill up the empty frames.
I’ll be sure to post before/after pictures of my wall of frames once it’s done – wish me luck!
