It’s the hap-happiest time of the year & that includes spreading the joy and laughter via snail mail. I’m a firm believer in the art of the handwritten note and the holidays are my favorite time to ship out cards to let everyone know I’m thinking of them! Here are a few Do’s & Don’ts along with my favorite places to shop for cute cards:

Dates to Remember:
- December 4th: Last day to send to Africa, Central and South America (USPS guideline)
- December 11th: Last day to send to most international locations (USPS guideline)
December 16th:December 8th: First Day of Hanukkah (HA! DO: Check your dates! oopsie!)- December 18th: Peak holiday mail day – relish in your preparedness
- December 19th: Last day to send Domestic mail for Christmas Day arrival (USPS guideline)
- December 25th: Christmas Day
- December 26th: Kwanzaa

Jacey – not only are you a darling fashionista but you are a lady of class! I absolutely love your etiquette ideas and I totally agree with you! I just sent out my Christmas cards post Thanksgiving. I wrote Merry Christmas because that is what my husband and I celebrate, but for my friends who don’t celebrate Christmas I also wrote “Happy Holidays” in pen on the card itself. I hand addressed the cards and my husband thought I was crazy for doing 100 of them, but I think people appreciate getting hand addressed envelopes! I don’t mind doing it as long as I’m blasting holiday music in the background.
Oh and I also included my dog in the picture but I did not “sign her name” on the card, I know some people do differently I just don’t think the sentiment of “Merry Christmas” comes from the dogs! She is however, a part of our family.

love that you shared the deadlines!!! i am stressing because we do not have ONE single family picture that is usable (didn’t get any professionally done) so now i may just get cards made with our son on them. but i know some people dislike when it’s just a pic of some kid they don’t know (not close friends/family of course). thoughts?!?

Here in Croatia we don’t really have that habit to send out Holiday cards.. Maybe I should do something to change that!
