Vacation Diaries: Concan, Texas

Nothing, and I mean nothing, beats a weekend that’s spent with family in Concan, Texas floating the Frio River. I’m headed back to LA today with a belly full of fried food and a heavy heart that must say goodbye to my favorite vacation destination on Earth (and the best family a gal could ask for!).

Until next time . . .

I am a 30-something woman living on the East Coast now, but saw your post and cried from nostalgia. We camped at the Concan campground for every summer of my childhood, and this post brought back so many happy memories. We would play in the river all day, then ride our bikes to the Country Store and get afternoon popsicles, and play cards and eat smores every evening. Thank you so much for bringing these moments back to me through your post.
